Responsibilities

Please note: Temporary Need employees are hired to meet peak work periods, fill short-term labor needs, complete or work on special projects and meet short-term work requirements. Responsibilities Perform shipping and receiving duties, including segregating, storing, loading, and unloading materials from trailers, tank trucks, railcars, and isotainers.

Support manufacturing by replenishing raw materials and packaging supplies.

Manage rework and repacking of finished goods.

Handle waste management and maintain housekeeping in work areas.

Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, railcar movers, and pallet jacks.

Complete routine equipment and safety checks (e.g., forklift inspection checklists).

Use loading/unloading checklists and perform weight verifications.

Maintain raw material logs and other record keeping related to shipments and inventory.

Ensure SAP data integrity and accurate inventory records.

Conduct and support cycle counts and assist with physical inventory processes.

Use handheld scanners properly for inventory and transaction recording.

Provide timely status updates and report issues encountered during operations.

Complete all mandatory training and follow established safety procedures.

Maintain a safe working environment and use equipment correctly and responsibly.

Physical requirement: repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Qualifications

Qualifications A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required

Must have a valid driver's license

Strong troubleshooting skills, problem solving skills, and mechanical aptitude

High degree of initiative and ability to plan, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision

Effective listening skills , responsive to questions, comments ,suggestions feedback

Ability to work effectively in a team based organization The starting rate for this position is $29.21 per hour. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Compensation will be determined in accordance with the terms of that agreement. Union membership or collective bargaining status may impact the final compensation offered.
