Job Description

Position Description and Purpose:
Founded in 1923 and headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Roskam Foods is a leading contract manufacturer that partners with world-renowned food brands, retailers, and food service providers to produce a myriad of frozen, refrigerated and shelf-stable products. Key Essential Functions/Duties:
Run simulated picklists to determine daily material needs for all production lines.

Create and release transfer orders for interplant shipments.

Communicate transfer order requirements and schedules to sending plants.

Confirm and reconcile shipments to ensure accuracy and receipt of materials.

Support daily inventory control activities, including:

Pallet reconciliationsInventory reconciliation with Customer systemsConsumable material countsParticipation in floor counts and cycle countsServe as a cross trained backup for the Inventory Coordinator role, rotating weekly responsibilities to maintain functional coverage.
Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.2+ years of experience in inventory management or related role.

Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) preferred.

Knowledge of warehouse operations, food manufacturing, and logistics preferred.

Familiarity with lean inventory practices and cycle counting preferred.
