LLC POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Lead to control our incoming mining equipment parts. It is the responsibility of every HEPI employee to ensure a safe work environment. This role involves accurately identifying parts, verifying part numbers using parts manuals when necessary, assessing condition, checking for updates, and entering all information into our Pronto ERP system. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and photo documentation. Responsibilities also include operating forklifts and company trucks, laser engravers, managing inventory across three Hibbing locations, maintaining accurate stock levels, processing parts to and from work orders, and carefully documenting the specific condition of each used part. Heavy equipment knowledge and excellent attention to detail are essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Safety & Compliance Conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing proper PPE and adhering to company policies Identify and communicate potential safety concerns; safety is the top priority Maintain a clean and organized work environment Operates heavy equipment and vehicles safely

Inventory Receiving & Processing Serve as the first point of contact for incoming inventory; inspect for damage Create detailed part condition reports Enter parts into ERP systems and label with stock numbers and tags Identify parts using computer systems and parts books Receive and allocate components for rebuild projects, sales orders, and internal use Load and unload trucks and containers as required

Inventory Management & Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory records and perform weekly inventory audits Track inventory movement between locations and for repair processes Update and adjust stock levels in ERP systems (e.g., Pronto) Assist with inventory projects such as scrapping and bulk relocations 4. Systems, Data Entry & Reporting Utilize ERP systems efficiently for inventory and pricing updates Create new part numbers (e.g., HEPI numbers) as needed Enter and maintain accurate pricing information Generate reports, pick slips, and other documentation Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) 5. Communication & Coordination Communicate with sales and management regarding incoming and received inventory Relay important information and issues in a timely manner Collaborate with Rebuild Center and Finance teams on: o Condition changes o Rebuild cost adjustments o Project tracking Assist coworkers and support cross-departmental needs
  • 6. Logistics & Facility Support Travel between all three Hibbing locations as needed for inventory identification Support domestic and international shipping and receiving activities

Skills & Qualifications Quick learner with strong memory and attention to detail Strong computer skills and comfort with ERP systems Typing speed of 40+ words per minute with accuracy Proficient with mobile devices (calling, texting, emailing, and taking photos) Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively Strong observational skills with the ability to take initiative and act quickly
DECISION MAKING
Position will be required to make decisions that will directly impact the department.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS
Position requires collaboration with department / service managers and sales staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
1. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. 2.
Previous experience required:
use of heavy equipment, power tools, forklifts, carpentry, mechanically inclined, and computers. 3. Ability to lift 50# is required. Must be able to pass respirator fit test and pulmonary function testing.
