Job Description

Description Inventory & Distribution Planner At Pilgrim's , Safety Is a Condition , which means the safety of our team members comes first — always. Join us in this impactful Inventory & Distribution Planner role where you won't just manage inventory — you'll help drive operational success across our Barn Construction & Parts operations.
Responsibilities:
As an Inventory & Distribution Planner , you will play a key role in managing purchasing, inventory control, and distribution processes. You will ensure accuracy in inventory systems, maintain strong vendor relationships, and support financial and operational reporting. •
Purchasing & Vendor Coordination:
Create purchase and service requisitions, partner with vendors to secure best pricing, and manage purchase orders within SAP. •
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records, process receipts, charges, and requisitions, and ensure proper stock levels across parts and supply systems. •
Invoice & Accounts Coordination:
Submit invoices to accounts payable, reconcile discrepancies, and collaborate with vendors and accounting to resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or quality. •
Accounting & Financial Tracking:
Support accounting functions including journal entries, cost tracking, and reporting for barn construction and parts department operations. •
Project & Job Costing:
Manage grower and barn construction accounts, track labor and material costs, and ensure expenses are accurately charged to the appropriate cost centers and jobs. •
Data Management & Reporting:
Maintain spreadsheets, run reports, analyze purchase and inventory data, and investigate variances to ensure accuracy. •
System & Vendor Setup:
Assist with new vendor setup and item creation in SAP, including compliance documentation such as SDS requirements. •
Inventory Audits:
Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure inventory accuracy aligns with company policies. •
Product Lifecycle Management:
Coordinate the handling and disposal of outdated or obsolete products in partnership with vendors and compliance teams. •
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain safety records, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with company policies, including SDS documentation. •
Freight & Distribution Support:
Verify, unload, and organize incoming freight and distribute parts and supplies while ensuring proper documentation. •
Budget Support:
Participate in the annual budgeting process for the department. •
Additional Duties:
Perform other responsibilities as needed to support operations and team success. What You'll Need •
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Associate's degree preferred. •
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of inventory, purchasing, or related operational experience required. •
Systems Knowledge:
Experience with SAP and inventory systems strongly preferred. •
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. •
Accounting Knowledge:
Basic accounting and financial tracking experience preferred. •
Analytical Skills:
Strong ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues effectively. •
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. •
Organization & Accuracy:
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. •
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds and perform physical inventory tasks as needed. Why Work for Pilgrim's ?

Monday - Fr iday with occasional Saturdays. F lexible day shift hours.
