Job Description

Retail Inventory Lead Flora Farms Berkeley is looking for an Inventory Lead to join our dispensary team. This position is a full-time hourly position. The dispensary is open Sunday-Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday and Saturday 8am-10pm. Candidates must provide open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.
Job Summary:
The Dispensary Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing the inventory management system within a dispensary. This role involves maintaining accurate records of cannabis products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing stock levels, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the dispensary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Oversight:
Manage the entire inventory lifecycle, including receiving, stocking, and tracking cannabis products and supplies. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory compliance standards. Develop and implement inventory control procedures with management to minimize discrepancies and losses.
Data Management:
Maintain and update inventory records in the dispensary's management system with high level of accuracy. Analyze inventory data to forecast needs and optimize stock levels. Prepare and present inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics and actionable insights.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all inventory practices adhere to state and local regulations governing cannabis handling, storage, and recordkeeping. Prepare and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet compliance requirements. Address and resolve any compliance issues or discrepancies promptly.
Operational Efficiency:
Collaborate with management teams to forecast inventory needs. Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure product availability aligns with customer demand. Implement best practices for inventory storage, handling, and security to maintain product integrity and prevent loss. Takes on additional duties as needed with a positive attitude.
Problem Resolution:
Investigate and address any irregularities in inventory data or product handling processes. Provide solutions and recommendations to improve inventory management practices and operational efficiency.
Training and Development:
Train and mentor inventory associates and other staff on inventory management procedures and best practices. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes affecting inventory management.
Customer Service Support:
Support sales associates by providing accurate information about product availability and stock levels. Qualifications Must be 21 or older to apply. High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Able to pass a Federal Background check Must be able to obtain a Missouri Agent ID through the Division of Cannabis Regulation Must have METRC and Dutchie Backoffice experience. Able to work a flexible schedule with open availability. METRC and Dutchie Backoffice experience preferred. Availability on evenings and weekends required. Familiar with inventory management systems and MS Excel. Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs. Previous experience in retail or warehouse environment preferred.
