They are also responsible for working in the warehouse. Job Responsibilities Enter and process receivers, shipments, work orders, inventory transfers, inventory modifications, and customer returns in computer system. Review and proofread reports and system documents for accuracy. Research material usage to reconcile systems inventory discrepancies. Work with various departments to resolve inventory issues. Print inventory tags and prepare paperwork for shipments. Match and file bills of lading, packing slips, work orders, and certifications. Assist internal and external customers with questions and expedite orders. Track and report truck mileage and weights. Review weekly activity reports and take necessary action. Safely operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes). Organize work tickets according to location and material type. Retrieve material from inventory system according to work ticket specifications. Verify Material location, condition, and specifications on inventory tags to work ticket. Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Record and report inventory discrepancies. Transport material to designated saws for processing. Tag and return material drops to appropriate inventory locations. Select the appropriate packaging materials to construct boxes, crates, skids, and pallets. Stage orders in assigned locations for truck loading and delivery. Prepare orders for shipment using scales and strapping equipment and following special packing requests listed.
