Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Logistics Team Member and become a vital part of our supply chain operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, managing inventory, coordinating transportation, and supporting warehouse activities. Your proactive approach will help us optimize processes, improve efficiency, and deliver exceptional service to our customers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in supply chain management while contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Assist with inventory management, including stock counting, cycle counts, and inventory control to maintain accuracy and reduce discrepancies. Support warehouse distribution activities such as order picking, packing, shipping & receiving, and materials handling to ensure timely fulfillment. Coordinate transportation planning and management by working with carriers, freight providers, and 3PL (third-party logistics) partners to optimize delivery schedules. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments, update records, and improve operational efficiency. Contribute to process improvement initiatives by analyzing logistics data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing best practices for supply chain optimization. Assist with procurement activities including sourcing materials, pricing negotiations, and category management to support cost-effective purchasing. Operate equipment such as forklifts safely for materials handling while adhering to safety protocols and warehouse procedures. This role may require travel to client sites for up to four consecutive days at a time to support on-site packing and logistics operations. Travel expenses and accommodations will be covered by the company. Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse operations or supply chain functions is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., ERP systems like AS400 or similar) and data analysis skills to interpret logistics metrics. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), demand planning tools, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and materials handling processes. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.
