Role Description The Contents Inventory role is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, NY. Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting client locations, documenting and categorizing personal and business property, and recording item details such as descriptions, quantities, conditions, and estimated values. The role involves working closely with insurance professionals, policyholders, and internal team members to ensure accurate and timely inventory reports. This position requires careful data entry, organization of photographic evidence and documentation, and adherence to company standards and insurance industry guidelines. The role may also include assisting in preparing summaries, reports, and recommendations that support efficient claim processing and client decision-making. Qualifications Ability to perform detailed on-site inventories, including careful observation, accurate item description, and systematic categorization of personal and business property. Strong organizational and data management skills for recording information, maintaining spreadsheets or databases, and handling documentation and photographic records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, policyholders, and insurance representatives in sensitive claim situations. Basic analytical and numerical skills to estimate property values, compare reference information, and support cost-effective recommendations. Comfort working in varied on-site environments, with the ability to stand, walk, and move items as needed while maintaining safety and care. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and client service. Prior experience in inventory, insurance, appraisal, property management, or a related field is beneficial. Proficiency with common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, digital photo tools) and willingness to learn company-specific systems. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications in property valuation, insurance, or related disciplines are a plus.
