Inventory Clerk Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Clerk to join our team. This role involves utilizing reach trucks and other power equipment to manage and organize inventory efficiently during either the 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) or the 2nd shift (1pm-9:30pm). Responsibilities Use reach truck and other power equipment to move materials, complete dropdowns, and place stock in proper locations. Investigate inventory discrepancies, analyze adjustment trends, and communicate shrink issues to management. Monitor transactional activity and perform research and reconciliation to correct imbalances and prevent order denials. Sort, label, and organize inventory on racks, shelves, and bins according to predefined sequences. Regularly use the computer system to coordinate transfers, replenishment, and maintain accurate inventory records. Maintain clear communication, follow all safety procedures, and complete tasks efficiently. Essential Skills 1-2 years experience using systems that support inventory management such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc. Strong attention to detail including problem resolution skills. 1 year of documentation experience in addition to verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1 year experience in a distribution warehouse environment. 1 year experience using a reach truck. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Material handling experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our workplace is a warehouse and office building spanning 168,000 square feet, located in Upstate NY. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liverpool, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
