Inventory Clerk

Job Overview Our entry level role for a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will accurately be maintaining and tracking inventory levels, ensuring proper storage and organization of goods, and assisting in the efficient operation of the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Duties Maintain accurate records of inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing stock. Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies. Update inventory databases and maintain accurate documentation. Review reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and stock movements. Assist in organizing storage areas for efficiency and safety. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely replenishment of stock. Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations. Support audits as needed. Safely operate material handling equipment while adhering to all incident and accident reporting procedures. Participate in Lean initiatives and Kaizen/5S protocols, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; 1 - 2 years' experience in inventory, warehouse, logistics, or related functions in a manufacturing environment preferred. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for decision-making purposes. Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift truck operator. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of conducting root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including merchandising, retail management, and logistics teams. Physical ability to perform materials handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and materials handling standards is highly desirable. Experience with inventory systems or ERP software (training available). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a plus. Crystal Reports. Sage Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
