Hourly, Non-Exempt Schedule:
Up to 40 hours per week.
Summary:
Working with some oversight, but independently, the Processing Department delivers consistent value by testing products for quality and function. After testing, Processors are assigned with passing inventory along to the proper department for inventory input. Dealing with a wide variety of product mix -- the Processing position is a key element in our sales chain; accurately relaying the condition of each item.
Responsibilities:
Test electronic devices such as video game consoles, computer equipment and media players to ensure they are working properly with no external or internal damage. Learn and understand differences between each product and their coinciding accessories. Sort and review incoming product orders. Prevent buyer dissatisfaction by ensuring that merchandise quality control is accurate and complete. Prevent buyer dissatisfaction by ensuring that merchandise prices are current and accurate to market. Recognize potential loss situations prior to sending product to the Listing Department. Learn and assist at Retail locations testing and processing trade-in items. This position may require full shifts at Retail stores. Perform minor repairs to products. Dust/clean shelves and merchandise. Organize processing stock. Pick up and discard paper, packing material, and any other debris. Assist in checking inventory levels for discrepancies/shortages/overages. Help with inventory reconciliation. Communicate with management when there are defective items in need of exchange or return. Show your professionalism and enthusiasm to deliver great results. Other duties as assigned depending on workload and time of year.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or minimum 2 years similar experience. Proven experience testing and repairing electronics / video game consoles
STRONGLY PREFERRED.
Basic to intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office, Google). Ability to multi-task, conduct independent research, and use decisive judgment under minimal supervision. Ability to work independently and use critical thinking skills to prioritize work needs. Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Flexible schedule to cover first-shift warehouse or potential retail store shifts.
Work Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand or move for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to follow safety precautions in a warehouse setting.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
