Freezer Worker

Ocean Beauty Seafoods is looking for a Freezer Worker in our Astoria Distribution location! This position maintains a clean and organized freezer. Picks correct product and fill orders, rotates inventory, and receives and stores product. Pay starting at $24.00 per hour depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Receives and stores product in freezer. Picks correct product and accurately fill orders for customers. Maintains an accurate and up-to-date freezer inventory and rotates product in freezer. Assists with daily inventory cycle counts. Maintains a clean and sanitary freezer and dock area. Operates forklift and pallet jack in a safe manner. Follows all company safety policies and procedures Responds to change productively and handle other duties as required Accurately completes all paperwork pertaining to shipping and receiving.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience. Minimum of two (2) years warehouse experience, and one (1) year experience operating a forklift. This position requires a self-starter with good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and follow written and oral directions. Must have knowledge of inventory control and seafood species, trim, and cutting procedures. Must possess a good safety and driving record and have knowledge of forklift and pallet jack operations.
