Compass Systems Description:
The Inventory Clerk performs tasks relative to the control of property either purchased or assigned to the company for production and manufacturing operations. The Inventory Clerk will receive and maintain accurate inventory records, which includes database management/control and traceability.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform basic receiving inspection on parts for material damage. Conducts periodic inventories of property to ensure adequate supplies for projects. Kit materials as required per project and specific to the Bill of Material (BOM). Tracks, monitors, and reports the status and usage of property. Prepares reports and documents in compliance with government procedures and internal requirements. Assist others with property support Perform tasks related to packaging, shipping and receiving of property. Receive material and maintain accurate inventory records, highly organized in managing and evaluating inventory to ensure control of material. Basic receiving inspection on parts for material damage, count, and signing off on shipments. Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products for usage. Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management. Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports. Required to be able to use the following tools, equipment (various hand tools, wire cutters, tape measure, scale, computer, label printer, electric forklift, and pallet jack). Perform tasks related to packaging, shipping and receiving of property. Follow company and industry standard health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Preferred 3+ years of experience working in a stockroom or other inventory positions, or in a related field. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit, walk, see, hear, and feel. Occasionally will need to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Moderate environment temperature and noise level. Must be able to interpret data, information, and documents. Can learn and apply new information and/or skills.
