Non-Exempt Job Description:
In this role, you will drive a commercial vehicle to distribute and maintain city garbage receptacles (CARTS).
Examples of Duties:
Drives a commercial truck to issue city garbage receptacles (CARTS) to residents and businesses Responsible for loading and unloading of CARTS Maintains inventory, orders, and performs minor repairs on CARTs Addresses customer complaints about service pertaining to CART repair requests, exchanges and initial deliveries Performs minor administrative duties including but not limited to answering phones, filing, completing reports, etc Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition Delivers tools, equipment, mail, messages, etc. to other offices, departments, customers, vendors, etc Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years of experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid CDL B license.
Other Necessary Requirements:
May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City's needs.
