Job Description

The Warehouse Receiver 1st Shift is responsible for ensuring that produce and dairy products being delivered to Keany Produce are received from its suppliers and stored in the proper manner within the Keany Produce warehouse areas.
Essential Job Functions:
To ensure that produce and dairy products being delivered to Keany are correct in terms of item type, quantity, and quality. To ensure proper warehouse storage of produce items so that inventory is managed in such a way that inventory is housed in the correct location and the oldest inventory is used first. To ensure that products are stored safely and that a clean warehouse environment is maintained. To input data for received items in the system to reflect current inventory levels. To transfer inventory to other warehouse departments and properly dispose of damaged products. To pull produce and dairy products for specific government orders Working Conditions/Job Environment Degree of physical demands (strength) are usually associated with this position. Requires repeated stooping and bending. Frequent lifting and carrying boxed/bagged fruits and vegetables. Requires continuous standing for extended periods of time. Environmental conditions (physical surroundings and hazards) are usually associated with this position. Working in a 45-degree (F) processing area for 8-10 hours on a daily basis Working in a damp environment for 8-10 hours on a daily basis
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years direct receiving and storage preferably in the produce industry 2 years Warehouse receiving and storage processes and procedures Knowledge of produce types and ability to make judgments on product quality 3 - 5 years direct order pulling experience preferably in the produce industry
