Vehicle Inventory Associate at
Mercedes-Benz of Music City Position Overview:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Vehicle Inventory Control Specialist at our Nashville Metropolitan Area location. The Inventory Control Associate will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, overseeing shipping and receiving processes, conducting physical inventory counts, and assisting with daily dealership inventory operations. The role also includes assisting the sales team and management with locating vehicles, preparing and pulling vehicles for customer appointments, deliveries, and showroom display purposes. Additional duties involve organizing vehicle placement across the lot, ensuring sold vehicles are ready for delivery, coordinating transport pickups, and maintaining clear communication between departments to support efficient dealership operations. Effective communication, organization, teamwork, and attention to detail are key components of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities include checking in incoming vehicles, monitoring inventory movement, tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, and addressing discrepancies promptly. Additional responsibilities include attaching and programming vehicle keys and key fobs, organizing and maintaining accurate records within the dealership's key tracking software, and ensuring all keys are properly accounted for throughout the sales and inventory process.
Lot Maintenance:
Organize and maintain the parking lot efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in both new and used vehicle lots.
Vehicle Handling:
Move dealership and customer vehicles as instructed, making decisions on vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
Compliance:
Understand and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations regarding safety, hazardous waste disposal, and other relevant guidelines.
General Maintenance:
Perform cleaning tasks in dealership areas (e.g., walkways, sidewalks) as needed to maintain a clean environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role preferred. Attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. Understanding of vehicle maintenance and basic operational knowledge Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent customer service and communication abilities Adherence to safety protocols and compliance standards Willingness to attend training sessions as directed by management.
