Job Description
Receiving Specialist We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Receiving Specialist to support daily warehouse and inventory operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is responsible for receiving, tracking, organizing, and delivering incoming shipments while ensuring inventory accuracy and excellent service to internal customers. The ideal candidate is punctual, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing physical work throughout the day. Schedule + Monday through Friday + 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Key Responsibilities + Receive and process incoming packages using inventory management systems + Verify purchase orders, shipment accuracy, and receipt documentation + Research and resolve package discrepancies in a timely manner + Safely prepare, transport, and deliver packages to internal departments + Load, unload, wrap, and organize incoming and outgoing shipments + Maintain clean, organized, and secure inventory and storage areas + Verify delivery accuracy and obtain proper documentation when required + Support daily warehouse operations and inventory control activities + Follow established safety, quality, and operational procedures + Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and end users QualificationsRequired + High School Diploma or equivalent + Basic computer and handheld device proficiency + Strong communication and customer service skills + Ability to accurately record and track inventory transactions + Reliable attendance and strong work ethic + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred + Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory, logistics, or supply chain experience + Experience using inventory management or warehouse systems Physical Requirements This position involves regular physical activity and requires the ability to: + Lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the workday + Frequently stand and walk for extended periods + Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, and reach as needed + Load and unload shipments safely + Work in warehouse and storage environments Work Environment + Fast-paced environment with changing priorities + Exposure to warehouse conditions including varying temperatures, noise, and dust + Frequent interaction with internal customers and delivery personnel + Opportunities to work independently while maintaining operational accuracy What We're Looking For + Strong customer service mindset + Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude + Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy + Ability to adapt to changing workloads and priorities + Team player with a positive, can-do approach If you're looking for an opportunity to join a collaborative team and play a key role in inventory and logistics operations, we'd love to hear from you. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
