Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Performs a variety of Warehouse tasks focused on shipping and receiving parts and other inventory. Maintains an orderly work area and assists Inventory Control and the parts counter as necessary.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receives inbound freight shipments, making sure they are received undamaged and that the contents of the shipment match the packing slip - Part number and quantity. Takes the checked in packing slip to the Inventory Control Clerk for processing.
  • Documents any damaged shipment on the shipper's bill of lading and informs the Inventory Control Clerk of the damaged products.
  • Stocks all parts in the proper location after they have been checked in.
  • Packs and ships part orders, part returns and core returns.
  • Pulls parts for local delivery and stages them in the delivery staging area as needed.
  • Operates a fork lift as needed.
  • Performs bin checks and assists with Cycle Counts as needed.
  • Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
  • Reports to the Branch Parts Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent a must
  • Experience in receiving shipments and running a forklift a plus
  • Capable of ensuring ordered inventory is received undamaged and documenting when it is not

  • Ability to work with others in a team environment and fosters healthy working relationships
  • Ability to take directions in a fast-paced work environment
  • Stays focused on and completes assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Customer friendly appearance and mannerism, Represent the company in a professional manner
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position requires extended periods of standing, walking and lifting in a non-climate controlled environment.
