Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accuracy and efficiency of inventory processes across our supply chain operations, ensuring optimal stock levels, regulatory compliance, and seamless warehouse distribution. Your expertise will help streamline procurement, shipping, receiving, and materials handling activities, contributing to the overall success of our logistics management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical proficiency in supply chain analytics, warehouse management systems, and transportation planning to support our global operations. Responsibilities Monitor and manage inventory levels using advanced warehouse management systems or similar tools. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing and replenishment of stock based on demand planning and category management strategies. Oversee shipping logistics Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and physical inventories to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies for process improvement. Collaborate with transportation management systems and scheduling for efficient order fulfillment. Ensure regulatory compliance related to transportation safety regulations, customs documentation, packaging standards, and materials handling procedures. Lead efforts in process improvement initiatives within warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and materials management to enhance operational efficiency. Manage activities with third-party providers to ensure smooth warehouse distribution and customer service excellence. Support demand planning activities by analyzing data trends to forecast inventory needs accurately across multiple channels including e-commerce platforms. Maintain detailed records of all inventory transactions, shipments, and regulatory documentation to facilitate audits and reporting. Skills Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, demand planning, and category management. Proficiency in inventory management systems, software, and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including picking & packing, shipping logistics, materials handling, and dispatching procedures. Experience with transportation planning tools such as TMS for freight optimization and fleet management. Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, NVOCC operations, and regulatory compliance standards related to logistics. Ability to analyze complex data sets using supply chain analytics techniques to identify opportunities for process improvement. Excellent team management skills with experience overseeing warehouse staff involved in order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and safety compliance. Knowledge of transportation safety regulations along with a focus on operational safety standards in road transportation operations. Technical proficiency in management systems or similar platforms. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and external partners.
