THE POSITION

Under direct supervision, orders, receives, stores, and issues a variety of parts, equipment, materials, and supplies; and performs other work as required. Representative Duties The following typical tasks and responsibilities are representative of this class. They are descriptive, not limiting.

Essential Duties:

Orders, receives, stores, and issues a variety of parts, equipment, materials, and supplies; Issues substitute parts on the basis of knowledge of interchangeability of parts; Operates a vehicle and forklift to pick-up, deliver, load, and unload parts, equipment, materials, and supplies; Performs inventories to ensure adequate levels of stock are available and advises superiors regarding need for purchases; Checks and prepares reports of materials received; Maintains stock records and prepares inventory reports; Reorders stock as necessary based on acceptable usage levels to ensure reasonable on-hand stock and to avoid over stocking; Properly maintains parts, equipment, materials, and supplies in storage status.
