Energy Inventory Material Specialist Location:
Riverside, CA Pay Range:
$23.16 - $26.93
Schedule:
6am - 2:30pm Position Summary The Energy Inventory Material Specialist is responsible for advanced material handling duties, including inventory movement, distribution, and coordination between departments to support ENC's manufacturing operations. This role is expected to be performed with minimal supervision, lead by example, and provide informal guidance to junior team members. Material Handler II ensures timely delivery of materials, monitors stock accuracy, and supports inventory control initiatives, while upholding company safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Pull, stage, and deliver materials to production based on complex schedules and multiple production lines. Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks (PIT) safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the facility. Conduct inventory audits and support root cause investigations for discrepancies. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of raw materials (FIFO) and components. Receive, inspect, and reconcile inbound materials against purchase orders; resolve discrepancies with Supervisor and Quality. Accurately record transactions using ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS). Work cross-functionally with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain to support lean material flow. Load and unload materials using appropriate rigging or lifting techniques as needed. Support warehouse optimization initiatives, including 5S and continuous improvement projects. Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to ensure timely transfer of materials and finished goods. Follow all company safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Collect all wooden crates and pallets and properly dispose of them. Support production line by collecting all trash at the end of shift and take it to trash bin. Support quality in properly disposing damaged battery or materials in correct location. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in material handling, inventory control, or logistics. Valid forklift certification required (or ability to obtain immediately upon hire). Handing battery packs or high voltage objects using a forklift required. Strong understanding of warehouse/inventory operations and lean material flow. Familiarity with OSHA requirements and forklift safety. Proficient in operating forklifts and material handling equipment (sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks). Experience in handling battery packs or electrical devices required. Ability to interpret work orders, material pick lists, and engineering prints. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Capable of working independently and taking initiative. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Capable of modifying wood crates or pallets using nail guns, saws and hammers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

This is an onsite position based in Riverside, CA and requires being 100% onsite.
