Job Summary:
The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in managing the procurement and inventory processes to ensure timely availability of parts and materials. This position supports operational efficiency by maintaining accurate records, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating across departments to resolve discrepancies and meet customer needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Procurement & Inventory Management Source and purchase parts and materials to meet order requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels. Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and appropriate lead times. Verify that all materials meet required specifications; coordinate with vendors for specification approvals when needed. Manage returns to manufacturers and ensure accurate documentation. Data & System Maintenance Maintain accurate purchasing records, including purchase orders and reports. Update ERP system with current cost data and part/material information. Ensure purchasing files are organized and up to date. Problem Resolution & Collaboration Identify and resolve issues related to purchasing or inventory discrepancies. Work closely with internal departments to address and resolve cross-functional challenges. Provide prompt and courteous responses to internal and external inquiries. Vendor Relations Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and vendors. Ensure all transactions, including purchase orders and returns, are processed within required timeframes. General Duties Participate in meetings and contribute to team initiatives. Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned. Uphold company standards and procedures, including compliance with AS/ISO and applicable regulations. Represent Krayden, Inc. professionally in all communications, including phone interactions. Data Driven Procurement
  • Based on Numbers no just orders placed. Trends, Seasonality, Historical Data, MOQs, EOQ
  • Economic Order Qty, OOQ
  • Optimal Order Qty. Manage with our vendors to have 7Rs
  • Right Product, Qty, Paperwork, Place, Time, Vendor, Price/Cost Import Paperwork on time:
Air Freight:
Shipment Day or the day after for those that are not delivered next day.
Ocean Freight:
Same day of
Vessel Departs, Ground Freight:
Shipment Day, latest one week prior Impor Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards (AS/ISO, TCP, Export Control). Perform other duties and cross-functional support as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience in inventory control, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting. Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills. Strong problem-solving abilities to resolve inventory and purchasing discrepancies. Good communication skills for working with vendors and internal departments. Experience using an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics
