$18.50-$20.00/hour, depending on experienceSchedule:

Temporary Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for a temporary assignment running from September 2026 through February 2027. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and disbursing materials, performing physical inventory counts, pulling parts for production, and ensuring materials are available to meet customer and production requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone with materials management, inventory control, warehouse, or ERP experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities- Pull and stage parts to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures.
- Verify, record, and maintain accurate incoming and outgoing material transactions.
- Perform physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Make inventory adjustments as needed to maintain accurate records.
- Process production and machine shop scrap and defective materials through SAP.
- Receive, inspect, and properly stock incoming materials.
- Monitor and maintain production floor stock.
- Reorganize storage locations and optimize inventory space.
- Transfer materials between storage locations within SAP.
- Identify available bin locations and assign materials appropriately.
- Run daily order reports to ensure materials are pulled on time.
- Troubleshoot inventory and order-issuing discrepancies.
- Monitor kitting supply levels to ensure parts are available for internal production needs.
- Assist with factory shipments, shipping, and packing as needed.
- Scan and maintain manufacturing paperwork and records.
- Assist with identifying obsolete inventory.
- Help train and provide direction to new employees and temporary staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, or a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately maintain inventory records and identify discrepancies.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
