Job Description

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of clinical and non-clinical supplies within each Just 4 Kids Health location. The role ensures that the materials necessary for production or other operational processes are available in the right quantity, at the right time, and at the right cost. This involves managing inventories, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities Essential I nventory
Management:
Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available when needed while minimizing excess and wastage of inventory.
Procurement:
Oversee the ordering of supplies to meet volume demands. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Clinical Location Inventory Monitoring:
Manage the storage and organization of materials in each clinic, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and tracking.
Supply Chain Coordination:
Work closely with purchasing, production, and operations staff to align material availability with clinic goals while anticipating potential supply shortages.
Quality Control:
Ensure that materials meet required quality standards and are inspected upon receipt. Coordinate with operations and Clinic Managers to address any discrepancies.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the supply budget, controlling material costs and making cost-effective decisions regarding sourcing and storage.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, procurement orders, and material usage. Prepare regular status updates to operations management on materials status, shortages, and trends.
Process Improvement:
Continuously review and improve processes related to materials management to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental policies related to material handling and storage. Supervision of Others None Work Environment Typically work is performed in both office and clinic settings. Physical Demands Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Able to move freely around work location (internal and external). Able to climb stairs and ladders, kneel, bend, and stoop. Able to push or pull equipment and items. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Able to move about office/clinic setting to complete responsibilities. Frequent use of phone, computer, clinic, and office equipment.
