Inventory Specialist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Inventory/Materials Specialist to work in the kitting area of our warehouse. In this role, you will spend approximately 70% of your time at a computer, 20% using material movement equipment such as stand-up forklifts or electric carts, and 10% walking. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records using various systems such as MAMM, Supermarket, web-based programs, Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP systems, and order tracking systems. Responsibilities Utilize computer systems daily to track and manage inventory. Print out inventory reports and perform audits to ensure accuracy of both system and physical records. Ensure physical inventory matches the inventory in the systems. Perform physical counts of inventory to verify correct quality and location of parts. Locate missing parts of inventory not accurately reflected in the system. Essential Skills Proficiency in inventory tracking and data entry. Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing facility for at least 2 years. Comfortable operating forklifts and electric carts in a warehouse setting. Strong attention to detail and high attendance in past roles. Ability to navigate computer systems with high aptitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience working in SAP and similar systems. Experience in roles such as 4Q Auditor, supply chain planning, or inventory analyst. Work Environment The role offers three shift options: 1st shift (6am-2pm), 2nd shift (2pm-10pm), and 3rd shift (10pm-6am), with mandatory overtime including working 10-hour days and most Saturdays. Sundays are voluntary overtime. Training involves classroom and hands-on learning, requiring commitment to a rigorous schedule. Safety attire including steel-toed shoes, work pants, bump cap, high-vis vest, and safety glasses is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
