8:45pm-7:00am (Mon-Thurs); 6:45am-7:00pm (Fri-Sun); 6:45pm-7:00am (Fri-Sun) Looking to take your hands-on skills to the next level? QPS is hiring for a direct hire Tooling & Inventory Specialist where you'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly-from staging and repairing tooling to managing inventory in a dynamic CMMS system. This is a fast-paced, high-impact position where no two days are the same, offering the chance to collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams. Tooling & Inventory Specialist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Stage and inspect all Tooling for delivery and pickup as requested by PRTs.
  • Pick up and deliver all carts, parts, and hardware needed by PRTs.
  • Work with the Engineering Department to identify and enter new tooling/parts/locations in the CMMS system. Work with Engineers on updating the Bill of Materials.
  • Assemble/repair/engrave tooling and equipment.
  • Deliver Tool Crib parts as needed.
  • Work with Maintenance personnel/Supervisors to resolve jacket or Tooling issues.
  • Create POs for Tooling replacement as needed.
  • Perform cycle counts of Tooling.
  • Transfer all Tooling to the correct location in the CMMS system
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
Tooling & Inventory Specialist Requirements:
  • Stationary Position: Under a 1/4 of the day.
  • Move, Traverse: 3/4 of the day and up.
  • Operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, or place: From 1/2 to 3/4 of the day.
  • Install, place, adjust, apply, measure, use, or signal: From 1/4 to 1/2 of the day.
  • Ascend/Descend or Work Atop: Up to 1/4 of the day.
  • Position self (to) or Move (about or to): From 1/4 to 1/2 of the day.
  • Communicate or exchange information: 3/4 of the day and up.
  • Detect, distinguish, or determine: From 1/4 to 1/2 of the day.
  • On an average day, the individual can expect to move and/or transport up to 50 pounds between 1/4 and 1/2 of the day.
  • Skills testing requirements met at the approved grade level for the position.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to perform basic computer tasks and has the ability to operate common computer programs.
  • Ability to speak in a way that allows one to participate effectively in various conversations. Ability to read various types of standard items addressed to general readers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions that may be furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments preferred.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner preferred.
  • 1-year related work experience preferred.
