SUPPLY TECHNICIAN

(TITLE 32), GS-2005-5/6/7, you responsible for the receipt, storage, issuing, planning, budgeting, and preparion of vendor product bids of subsistence supplies. Major Duties

• This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Conduct daily sanitary inspections of all subsistence items, commencing with initial shipment and continuing until final excesses are disposed.

Liaison with depots and higher headquarters on subsistence to cut back and/or increase in requisitions due to customer strength fluctuions. Arrange for veterinary inspections of prospective civilian bidder establishments, and initie correspondence to prospective bidders for local purchase items. Schedule and conduct inventories of the subsistence accounts. Design warehouse plans for storing subsistence considering proper storage techniques. Determine requirements for equipment and merial used in commissary and subsistence operions. Direct the preparion of all subsistence reports and maintenance of accountable records to include receipts, issues, and stock record accounts. Compile necessary da for transmittal of requisitions for subsistence. Review applicable regulions and directives to ensure th accounting procedures are correct. Serve as a member of the Installion Menu board, which recommends changes to the menu while considering the nutritional value and acceptability of the menu. Direct the compution of the site Basic Daily Food Allowance to ensure th prices are used in compution as cited in applicable. price lists and establish current prices for local purchase items. Assist in the formulion of the budget requirements for Site Subsistence Operions. The areas of considerion for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), in the following manner and sequence: The FIRST area of considerion for this position all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The SECOND area of considerion all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of considerion all Federal re-employment eligible. The FOURTH area of considerion applicants willing to become T32 Dual Stus Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of considerion will U.S. Citizens.

SSG. GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: MUST possess experience, educion, or training in a variety of operions or situions concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operions such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions; experience using computer and automion systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: GS-07 Level

• MUST possess specialized experience which includes least 1 year the lower-level GS-06, which also includes experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, caloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operions support; experience coordining with other organizions on complex and controversial supply issues; experience analyzing, developing, evaluing to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc.

; knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulions to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. GS-06 Level

• MUST possess specialized experience which includes least 1 year the lower-level GS-05, experience, educion, or training which demonstres knowledge of governing supply regulions, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required informion; reconstruct records for routine supply transactions; and/or provide supply operions support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; experience performing routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems reled to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management, experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey informion and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc.

• MUST possess specialized experience which includes least 1 year the lower-level GS-04, experience, educion, or training which demonstres knowledge of standardized supply regulions, policies, procedures, or other instructions reling to the specific functions assigned; experience th demonstres knowledge of one or more automed supply dabases to enter and retrieve recurring reports; experience using working knowledge of the structure of a supply organizion and the organizions serviced.
