SUPPLY TECHNICIAN

(TITLE 32), GS-2005-5/6/7, you will provide storage and distribution, caloging or supply identificion systems, property utilizion or other reled supply activities including those associed with automed or manual supply accounting systems. Major Duties

• This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Manage supply activities to include support of inventory control, storage, distribution, caloging, supply identificion systems, property utilizion, and other reled activities using both Standard Army Management Informion Systems (STAMIS) and non-STAMIS systems.

Analyze requests to ensure items being ordered are authorized. Process all requests for local purchases, including those for items listed within standard supply classes. Coordine informion with program managers and units to assist with formuling budgets. Coordine payments to GSA, prime vendor, and local vendors by Government Purchase Card. Process requests for operion rions, including commercial subsistence and commercial meals, requests for cash meal payment books and valide cash meal payment book transactions, annually, with units. Reconcile purchase requests for fuel, valide bulk fuel reports, process monthly Voyager credit card reports, issue new Voyager credit cards to unit and process transactions for turn in of expired or damaged Voyager credit cards. Process requests from unit for medical supplies (CL VIII) validing all medical supply requests against unit formularies. Process monthly reports regarding commodity management, including transaction error reports, manager's review file, performance standard reports, overage reports, and other reled supply discrepancy reports. Review and upde the ASL, considering demand history, anticiped consumption, turnover res, future requirements solicited from MACOMS, total package fielding, special projects, and funds availability. Manage supply transactions based on dollar limitions, stus of Obligion Authority, consumer funds, coordining with requisitioning activity and the source of supply. The areas of considerion for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), in the following manner and sequence: The FIRST area of considerion for this position all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The SECOND area of considerion all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of considerion all Federal re-employment eligible. The FOURTH area of considerion applicants willing to become T32 Dual Stus Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of considerion U.S. Citizens.

: MUST possess experience, educion, or training in a variety of operions or situions concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered and experience using computer and automion systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

:

GS-07 LEVEL

• MUST possess specialized experience which includes least 1 year the lower-level GS-06, experience, educion, or training controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, caloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures.

Completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operions support. Experience coordining with other organizions on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluing to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulions to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.

GS-06 LEVEL

• MUST possess specialized experience which includes least 1 year the lower-level GS-05, experience, educion, or training which knowledge of governing supply regulions, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment.

Experience conducting searches for required informion; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operions support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts. Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems reled to segments in one or more major areas of supply management. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey informion and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. GS-05 Level

• MUST possess specialized experience for the GS-05 Level, which includes experience, educion, or training which demonstres knowledge of standardized supply regulions, policies, procedures, or other instructions reling to the specific functions assigned; experience th demonstres knowledge of one or more automed supply dabases to enter and retrieve recurring reports; experience using working knowledge of the structure of a supply organizion and the organizions serviced.
