Equipment and Supply Job Description Overview Schedule:
Full-Time Day Shift- 5 days a week, 8hr shifts, weekends not required
Work Location:
West Hospital (Onsite)Department Supported:
Adult Medical Step-down Unit- West 3
C Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinates the equipment process by submitting documentation using established processes and collaborating with the appropriate personnel for return, repair or purchase of special equipment and/or related supplies. Anticipates and prepares equipment needs for new patient admissions to insure that the patient rooms are equipment ready for patients. Receives and inspects incoming supplies and equipment. Delivers supplies and equipment to hospital departments.Requirements:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Will be required to be Heart-saver certified within 3 months of hire. Must be Heart-saver certified within 3 months of hire. Requires basic computer skills.Preferred:
Experience in working with varied computer systems/programs preferred. Experience working with various computer systems and programs is preferred.Benchmarks:
3Months:
Demonstrates proficiency in equipment and supply workflows, accurately processes requests and documentation, and ensures patient rooms are stocked and admission-ready with minimal guidance. 6Months:
Independently coordinates equipment repairs, returns, purchases, and deliveries while maintaining timely room readiness and strong collaboration with clinical and support departments. 12Months:
Serves as a trusted resource for equipment management, proactively identifies opportunities to improve inventory and workflow efficiency, and consistently supports uninterrupted patient care operations.
