Job Description
Job Overview We're hiring an Inventory Specialist to inventory vehicles purchased from insurance auto auctions. This role requires strong attention to detail, basic-to-advanced automotive knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy salvage/auto recycling environment. Responsibilities Inventory incoming vehicles and identify all sellable parts Grade parts for quality/condition and ensure accurate documentation Use VIN decoders and automotive resources to confirm options and fitment Enter inventory accurately in our system and follow standard processes Operate a forklift safely to move vehicles/parts as needed Requirements Automotive experience required (more is better) Strong mechanical/parts knowledge and comfort identifying components Ability to use VIN decoders and basic computer systems Forklift experience and ability to drive a forklift (certification a plus) Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work around vehicles Preferred Experience in a salvage yard, dealership parts department, body shop, or repair shop Familiarity with grading used parts and vehicle option decoding We will train on-site to cover any experience gaps
