Job Title:
Inventory Specialist Job Description The Inventory Specialist supports warehouse operations by managing inventory accuracy, coordinating material flow, and ensuring timely shipping and receiving of parts and products. This role plays a critical part in maintaining organized storage areas, staging materials for projects and production, and documenting all inventory transactions in an efficient and reliable manner. Responsibilities Receive and process incoming purchase orders and inventory shipments in a timely and accurate manner. Verify received materials against packing slips and purchase orders to ensure quantity and quality accuracy. Pull parts and materials for customer orders, internal projects, and production needs according to specifications. Stage parts, materials, and equipment for project assembly, shipping, and delivery to ensure smooth workflow. Coordinate and prepare outbound shipments using approved shipping methods and carriers. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all inventory transactions are properly documented in the system. Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to verify stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy. Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes of errors, and support corrective actions. Assist in resolving inventory variances by updating records and improving processes where needed. Organize and maintain warehouse locations, shelving, and storage areas to optimize space and efficiency. Ensure all inventory is properly labeled, stored safely, and easily accessible for warehouse staff. Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company safety procedures and guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment to support safe and productive operations. Assist with additional warehouse and inventory-related duties as assigned to support overall operations. Essential Skills Experience with inventory control and inventory management in a warehouse or similar environment. Hands-on experience performing cycle counts and inventory audits. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including preparation and handling of shipments. Ability to use and navigate ERP systems for inventory transactions and record keeping. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when verifying materials against packing slips and purchase orders. Organizational skills to maintain orderly warehouse locations, shelving, and storage areas. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in alignment with safety procedures. Basic computer proficiency for data entry and documentation of inventory activities. Capability to work reliably in a fast-paced warehouse or shop environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience coordinating shipments with various carriers and shipping methods. Experience in supporting project staging and material preparation for assembly and delivery. Familiarity with investigating inventory discrepancies and contributing to process improvements. Comfort working both independently and collaboratively within a warehouse team. Why Work Here?
