Job Summary:
The Parts Specialist I supports the daily operations of the Parts Department by receiving, storing, pulling, and preparing appliance parts for technicians. This role follows established procedures, maintains accurate inventory handling, and ensures that parts are organized and available to support timely service. The Parts Specialist I focuses on basic warehouse tasks, consistent workflow, and clear communication within the department.
Essential Duties:
Receive incoming parts and verify quantities against purchase orders and part vendor invoices Unpack, label, and place inventory into assigned storage locations using established procedures both physically and systemically Pull and stage parts accurately for scheduled service calls Complete reverse picks and process returned parts with same day turnaround Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts storage area Support cycle counts and performs basic stock checks Enter simple transactions into the Warehouse Management System Assist with scrap procedures and basic documentation Communicate clearly with technicians, parts staff, and internal teams Follow all department procedures and workflow expectations Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in warehouse or inventory handling preferred Basic computer skills and ability to learn the Warehouse Management System Strong attention to detail when pulling, receiving, and labeling parts Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accuracy Willingness to learn department processes and improve skills over time
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, or lift for extended periods Ability to lift up to fifty pounds safely Regular use of warehouse equipment such as carts and scanning devices Ability to work in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
