This position is critical to ensuring that all equipment, inventory, and operators are properly managed and supported. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for tracking equipment assignments, maintaining inventory records, training operators on proper equipment usage and maintenance, performing minor repairs, and ensuring the warehouse remains organized and operationally efficient. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable using software systems, mechanically inclined, and capable of enforcing accountability for equipment valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars. Applicants who demonstrate initiative, leadership, and accountability will be prioritized. Schedule Monday through Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Weekends when necessary Snow events, operational demands, and seasonal workloads may require additional hours outside of the standard schedule. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Track and maintain accurate inventory records Monitor all equipment and supplies checked out to operators Maintain detailed records of which operators are assigned specific equipment Ensure all equipment is properly returned, inspected, and accounted for Train operators on proper equipment operation and maintenance Train operators on daily equipment inspections, including checking oil levels and reporting mechanical issues Organize and maintain the warehouse and storage areas Learn and operate company software systems Prepare equipment and supplies for field operations Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on lawn and snow equipment, including: Snowblowers Lawnmowers Weed whips Blowers Spreaders Trailers Coordinate equipment readiness for daily operations Maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and consumables Communicate with management regarding inventory levels, equipment needs, and operational issues Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and operationally efficient Help prevent equipment loss, theft, misuse, and damage through proper tracking procedures Requirements Valid driver's license College education or military experience preferred Mechanically inclined and capable of performing minor repairs Experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, or equipment maintenance preferred Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software systems Strong organizational and record-keeping skills Ability to work independently and maintain accountability for inventory and equipment Strong attention to detail Ability to adapt to operational needs, including extended hours during snow events
Compensation & Benefits Annual Salary:
$60,000 (Exempt)
