Job Summary Cape Girardeau, MO SMC is seeking a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist to help manage inventory programs for key customers and suppliers. This role focuses on maintaining optimal inventory levels, improving product availability, reducing stockouts, and supporting overall supply chain efficiency. The position works closely with customers, suppliers, procurement, and branch operations to ensure the right products are available at the right time.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and replenish inventory for assigned accounts Analyze inventory usage and stocking trends Coordinate with customers and suppliers on inventory needs Track fill rates, backorders, and inventory performance Maintain accurate inventory data and system records Support inventory optimization and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

Experience in inventory management, purchasing, logistics, or distribution Strong analytical and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and business systems Excellent communication and customer service skills VMI or industrial distribution experience preferred

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
