As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated InventoryCost Accounting Specialist to support our expanding operations and help drive inventory accuracy, reporting integrity, and operational efficiency across the business. Why This Role Matters As a InventoryCost Accounting Specialist at United Bags, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, organization, and financial integrity of inventory records that keep our operations running smoothly. This position combines hands-on inventory management with cost accounting support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing data, solving problems, improving processes, and collaborating across departments in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to directly impact operational performance, inventory control, and financial reporting while contributing to the continued success of a respected industry leader. What You'll Do Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses and systems Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and variances Assist with inventory adjustments and ensure proper documentation is maintained Support cost accounting processes related to inventory valuation, inventory reporting, and variance analysis Assist with month-end and year-end inventory reconciliations and reporting Partner with purchasing, operations, logistics, sales, accounting, and warehouse teams to support inventory accuracy and product availability Track incoming and outgoing inventory transactions to ensure timely and accurate system updates Help maintain organized, audit-ready inventory records and reports Identify opportunities to improve inventory control procedures and strengthen internal processes Assist with ERP or inventory management system updates, data entry, and reporting Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and inventory accuracy What You Bring Associate degree; equivalent work experience in inventory control, cost accounting, supply chain, warehouse operations, or a related field will be considered 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, logistics, materials management, or cost accounting experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities accurately Experience with ERP, inventory management, or accounting systems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments A team-first attitude and commitment to continuous improvement Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments Familiarity with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, inventory valuation, and inventory control best practices Experience analyzing inventory discrepancies, cost variances, and supporting process improvements Knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms Exposure to cost accounting principles, inventory costing methods, or financial reporting Why You'll Love Working at United Bags You are not just joining a company - you are joining a legacy.
