Inventory Technician

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB

The primary purpose of an Inventory Technician is to receive all incoming supplies and materials accurately and efficiently and to stage and prepare inventory and cabinetry for secondary shipment by the installation team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE AREAS

Follows the receiving Standard Operating Procedures and performs the accompanying inventory tasks. Maintains production and inventory records. Inspects and validates that the incoming material meets quality specifications and purchase order. Inspects and validates that cabinetry components and all accompanying accessories are staged and ready for the install team to efficiently load and transport to the installation site. Uses forklift to safely move and stack product. Physically maneuvers products as necessary. Cleans and maintains work area, tools and equipment. Seeks and performs alternate, productive tasks to keep busy during unexpected down time. Demonstrates professionalism in all forms of communication. Follows all safety protocols and regulations. ABILITIES

Strong understanding of the functions of appropriate inventory software. (Crow's Nest, etc) Strong understanding of plans which detail the layout and appearance of cabinetry and closets. Strong understanding of Concepts by Design's cabinet and quality standards. Strong understanding of pick tickets and quality control logs. Ability to identify wood species and cuts (rift sawn, quarter sawn, etc.) Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of reports and data. Strong written and verbal communication skills Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to scheduling changes and customer service needs. Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team. Ability to identify defects in raw material. Ability to think critically to identify and solve problems. Must maintain Forklift Safety Certification

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Experience preferred, but not required. Working Conditions Capacity to lift heavy materials and equipment. Flexibility to adjust to different project requirements. Readiness to adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate protective gear. Ability to travel to different locations for delivery. Capacity to work with dust and other construction-related elements. Willingness to work overtime hours, including evenings and weekends, based on project deadlines.

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
