Job Description

Inventories and dispatches supplies and minor movable equipment. Inventories and replenishes supplies. Inventories and restocks unit supply carts in accordance with department policies and procedures. Assists with restocking of SPD shelves on a daily basis. Dispatches supplies and minor movable patient care equipment. Delivers "STAT" items immediately upon receipt of request. Fills requisitions for supplies and minor movable to the requesting departments in a timely manner. Fills requisitions accurately. Makes postings on requisition sheets. Documents complete and accurate transactions (i.e., requests, credits, etc.) in a timely manner. Notifies the Inventory Control Specialist immediately of low on hand quantities or outages. Removes outdated sterile supplies and returns them to SPD for disposition as appropriate. Checks the expiration dates of sterile supplies on the PAR carts and removes items that are approaching expiration date as per departmental policy.
