Working within a high-volume retail pharmacy environment, the Inventory Specialist oversees ordering, receiving, and tracking of prescription medications, over-the-counter items, and controlled substances. They leverage CVS inventory systems and reporting tools to maintain accurate stock levels, reduce shrink, and optimize inventory performance in alignment with company metrics and financial goals. The role requires close collaboration with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, district leaders, and suppliers to ensure seamless workflow. A strong focus is placed on compliance with DEA regulations, CVS internal controls, and proper handling of inventory, including returns, recalls, and outdates.
