Job Description

Order Checkers serve a quality control function verifying the accuracy of orders pulled by the order pickers by reconciling the product and quantities to be shipped. The product listed on the manifest and number of product must match the pick list. They are our last pair of eyes before product reaches the customer. This reconciliation, cross-checking for accuracy and documentation ensures an accurate, uninterrupted supply of products to our customers. Maintain the error log and communicate to shipping lead for documentation Make sure all workstations are kept neat and clean at all times Check selected product based on order specifications Cross reference products against item numbers, quantities etc. before shipment is shipped Provide directions to warehouse staff to make corrections as needed Ability to detect errors & inaccuracies Receive orders ready for shipment from the order pickers Verify the quantity and description of items received by checking products against the packing list Examine incoming product and reject damaged items Report and record any discrepancies Attach identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on totes and shipment Prepare all shipping documentation Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly Accurately identify various types and sizes of items Operate safely all the necessary equipment in work area Will participate on projects that entail looking for heavy products on the warehouse floor, wrapping and carrying heavy product, must be able to lift up to 60 pounds on their own.
Qualifications:
Must be able to effectively communicate with Management and co-workers Great attention to detail Working conditions: Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to cold, heat, dust and loud noise. Push and pulling pallets and lifting products; Crouching is required up to 15% of the shift; Physical strength to handle up to 60+ pound object, frequently. Above average coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot and balance; above average endurance.
