Job Summary The Inventory Control and Label Specialist manages inventory for ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products. This role is also responsible for generating and distributing production labels, ensuring accuracy with Quality Assurance (QA), and maintaining label printing equipment. The position may serve as a backup for the packing area lead when needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and resolve discrepancies. Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile with the inventory system. Ensure accurate receiving, storing, and handling of inventory. Assist in training new staff on inventory control procedures. Collaborate with procurement and planning to optimize inventory levels.
Labeling:
Generate and validate production labels, ensuring accuracy with QA. Distribute labels to production areas in a timely manner. Maintain and troubleshoot label printing equipment. Backup for
Packing Area Lead:
Step in as a backup for the packing area lead when necessary.
Compliance and Safety:
Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with GMPs and food safety standards. Qualifications /
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. 2 plus years of experience in inventory management and reconciliation. Strong skills in Excel and familiarity with label printing software. Experience in food production or manufacturing preferred. Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in varying temperatures in a production environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production environment. ☐ Office Environment ☐ Production/Plant Environment ☐
