Acts as advisor to the Deputy Commander regarding functional responsibilities and works closely with other branch managers and chiefs in maintaining policy and decision making. Responsible for analyzing programs and associated processes within the Distribution Center and evaluation of them for efficiency and effectiveness in achieving DoD, DLA and Distribution goals and new initiatives. Designs strategic planning activities to assist in achieving Distribution and the Distribution Center's goals and objectives. Manages an organization which assesses current business processes within the Distribution Center to determine if associated DLA Strategic Plan and Distribution Business Plan objectives are being met. Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes:

Performs more complex functions associated with responding to problems and formulating plans for possible new missions, new initiatives, or corrective action on all aspects of distribution. Manages day-to-day operations and duties involving receiving, storing, and shipping products by using best strategies to organize and maximize efficiency in a distribution center. B.
