Southern Specialties is looking for a detail-driven, career-minded Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you won't just track inventory—you'll play a critical part in keeping production on schedule, supporting operational excellence, and helping build a best-in-class warehouse system in a clean, climate-controlled environment. What You'll Do As our Inventory Control Specialist, you'll be the go-to expert for inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting cycle counts and routine audits to ensure inventory accuracy Investigating and resolving discrepancies with a solutions-focused mindset Designing and maintaining organized warehouse layouts and processes Processing inventory transactions using hand-held scanners and inventory systems Receiving, issuing, transferring, and adjusting materials as needed Maintaining accurate, detailed documentation of all inventory movements Partnering closely with production, purchasing, and shipping/receiving teams Driving continuous improvement in inventory control and warehouse operations Following and promoting all safety, quality, and company standards What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who thrives in an organized environment and takes ownership of their work. Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or similar role Hands-on experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience setting up or maintaining structured warehouse systems Comfort using hand-held scanners and inventory tracking tools Basic computer skills; ERP or inventory system experience is a plus Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team What You'll Love About Working Here Climate-controlled facility
