The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory numbers for each Bob Mills Furniture location, as well as ensuring the location of the merchandise is correct in STORIS (the internal system we use to stay organized) .
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily counts of the merchandise in the warehouse and on the floor to ensure 100% accuracy. Monitor/Report all merchandise moves through the warehouse. Monitor/Report merchandise transferred, received, and shipped until it reaches destination. Ensure proper tagging procedures are being done. Resolve inventory issues through analyzing computer data, counts, and conversations with other inventory personnel Assist with periodic inventory of the whole store. Other duties as assigned. Attention to detail. Must be able to withstand the elements. Must be able to stay on feet for long periods of time. Must be able to read, write, and count. Strong computer competency Experience working with and utilizing Microsoft Excel and Outlook
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND AND DRUG TEST
High school diploma or GED equivalency Minimum 1 year of experience and/or training with cycle counts and physical inventories. Minimum of 1 year of experience and/or training with inventory/asset control
