Job Description
PrideStaff is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join a growing manufacturer in Bend, Oregon. This critical role supports production, inventory management, and supply chain coordination across fabrication and assembly departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes initiative, and excels at solving problems to keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Purchase materials, components, and supplies for assembly and fabrication operations. Maintain ideal inventory levels using min/max and Just-In-Time (JIT) strategies. Create, manage, and track purchase orders while maintaining accurate digital records. Analyze system reports to forecast purchasing needs and monitor delivery timelines. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, monitoring performance on pricing, lead times, and quality. Partner with third-party logistics providers to track shipments, receiving, and delivery schedules. Resolve freight, receiving, invoice, or inventory discrepancies quickly. Collaborate with warehouse staff to reconcile deliveries against purchase orders. Assist Accounts Payable with invoice matching and discrepancy resolution. Support general office procurement needs and assist with special inventory control projects. Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years of purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace. Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise, ERP, or MRP systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication, strong organizational abilities, sharp attention to detail, and basic accounting knowledge related to AP. Dependable, punctual, proactive, and comfortable adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting. Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
