The inventory specialist is responsible for the management of all raw materials and consumables in accordance with company policy. Sample duties include cycle counting, receiving, putting away, training, collecting and staging of material, resourcing, discrepancy investigation, stock adjustment management, capping, and report generation. This position reports to the Production and Material Planning Manager and is part of Inventory and production planning located in Waltham MA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Conduct cycle counting on raw materials, consumables, and bulk product in a laboratory setting, including cold storage. Receive and put away materials in the assigned locations. Follow up on items requiring stock adjustment and ensure actions are completed and properly recorded in our inventory system. Collect and analyze data to drive improvement in process. Collect and stage material as well as capping. The essential requirements of the job include Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, supply chain, or related operations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, and data visualization. Inventory management expertise with cycle counting, stock accuracy, and inventory reconciliation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on identifying root causes, resolving discrepancies, and driving corrective actions. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across production, warehouse, and supply chain teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
