Non-Exempt The Opportunity Zephyr Wind Parts is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to support our generator manufacturing and repair operations in Abilene, Texas. In this role, you will help ensure that products, materials, and supplies are ordered, received, stored, tracked, and distributed accurately. You will work closely with management, warehouse personnel, and other Zephyr divisions to maintain reliable inventory records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure materials are available when needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping operations organized, and working in a hands-on warehouse and manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Coordinate and oversee day-to-day inventory control activities within the warehouse. Order, receive, store, and distribute products, materials, and supplies. Purchase and track inventory to support generator manufacturing and repair demands. Ensure warehouse items are received, labeled, organized, and stored appropriately. Monitor inventory levels and help prevent material shortages or excess stock. Track inventory movement and report stock inflow and outflow to management. Review inventory balances and perform quarterly physical inventory counts. Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, including loss, damage, and inaccurate records. Maintain accurate inventory quantities and material values within the ERP system. Ensure both new and used materials are valued appropriately. Coordinate intercompany stock transfers between Zephyr divisions. Collaborate with other divisions when purchasing materials to identify cost-saving opportunities. Maintain organized records and complete assigned work within established deadlines. Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and inventory-control practices. Perform other related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Sound problem-solving, analytical, reasoning, and judgment skills. Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across teams. Commitment to following company policies, procedures, and safety expectations. Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in inventory control, inventory management, purchasing, material handling, or a related role. Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, repair, or industrial environment. Experience using an ERP or inventory-management system. Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, inventory management, or a related field. Relevant experience is preferred, but candidates with strong organizational skills and transferable experience are encouraged to apply. Physical Requirements This position works in an on-site warehouse and manufacturing environment.
