This position plays an important role in keeping dealership operations running smoothly by maintaining accurate inventory records, creating and updating online unit listings, supporting inventory audits, and assisting with parts and accessory operations. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position that works closely with Sales, Service, Parts, Administration, and dealership leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with technology and inventory systems while also being willing to move throughout the dealership to photograph units, verify inventory, receive parts, and support daily operational needs. What You'll Do Website Listings & Inventory Data Capture clear, high-quality photographs of boats, motors, repowers, and other major units for dealership website listings and marketing purposes Create, update, and maintain accurate online inventory listings Ensure unit specifications, pricing, photographs, descriptions, and availability are accurately reflected across dealership systems and online platforms Verify that inventory information flows correctly from Lightspeed Dealer Management System (DMS) to the dealership website Build and maintain boat packages, motor listings, and repower engine listings to support Sales operations Review online inventory regularly and promptly communicate listing errors, data discrepancies, missing information, or unit damage to management Inventory Tracking & Accuracy Utilize barcode labeling systems to properly identify and track boats, motors, trailers, and other major inventory Coordinate monthly inventory scans in partnership with the Service and Yard teams Assist dealership leadership with monthly and annual physical inventory audits Help develop and maintain reports that provide accurate, real-time inventory visibility Research inventory discrepancies and coordinate with the appropriate departments to resolve outstanding issues Work with the Administrative team to identify and resolve inbound inventory that has not yet been entered into Lightspeed Maintain organized and accurate inventory records across dealership systems Support rebate tracking and ensure applicable information is accurately reflected within dealership systems and online listings Parts & Inventory Support Receive incoming parts and accessories within Lightspeed Accurately allocate received parts to open Repair Orders (ROs) Distribute parts to assigned RO bins and stock inventory in the appropriate locations Perform routine cycle counts and assist with researching parts inventory discrepancies Help maintain an organized and accurate parts inventory Coordinate with the Parts and Service teams to ensure received items are processed and available when needed Parts & Accessories Customer Support Support Parts and Accessories sales as part of the overall customer purchasing experience Assist customers with identifying accessories, maintenance products, safety equipment, and other boating-related items Support customer handoffs from the Sales and Finance teams following a boat purchase Conduct Parts and Accessories walkthroughs with customers and introduce them to available products and upgrades Transition customers to the Parts Counter team when additional product knowledge, ordering, or assistance is needed Help identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience through relevant parts and accessory recommendations Cross-Department Support Work closely with Sales, Service, Parts, Administration, Yard Operations, and dealership leadership to maintain accurate inventory information Provide timely inventory updates and help resolve discrepancies that may affect sales, service, or customer deliveries Support dealership inventory projects, reporting initiatives, and operational improvements Assist with additional duties as needed to support dealership operations
Requirements:
Previous experience in inventory management, dealership operations, parts, merchandising, data management, or a related administrative role preferred Marine, automotive, RV, powersports, equipment, or dealership experience is a plus Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Comfortable working with inventory systems, websites, spreadsheets, and digital records Experience using Lightspeed DMS or another dealership management system is strongly preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications Ability to accurately manage detailed product information, specifications, pricing, and inventory records Comfortable photographing inventory and creating or maintaining online product listings Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments Customer-focused with an interest in learning about boats, motors, marine parts, and accessories Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced dealership environment Proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of assigned projects Work Environment Full-time, on-site position in Grand Prairie, TX Combination of office, showroom, parts department, warehouse, and outdoor dealership environments Regular movement throughout the dealership to photograph, verify, label, and audit inventory Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when photographing or verifying inventory Why Join Boater's World Marine Centers?
