Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide support relative to the maintenance of City vehicles and equipment. Work involves procuring and maintaining an inventory of parts, supplies and other items needed for repair and maintenance activities. Posted range is the starting salary. Pay rate offered is based on experience. Creates orders in software prior to contacting vendors to obtain part numbers, pricing and availability, inputs parts information received to software and place orders. Monitors fluids and restocks as needed. Monitors state vehicle inspection program to ensure inspection stickers are on hand. Requisitions accounts for emissions, safety and trailer/motorcycle stickers. Coordinates with state inspection offices regarding any repairs/problems the State inspection computer has. At least six months of advanced study or training at a community college, or vocational, business, technical or correspondence school. At least one (1) years of experience in inventory management, or in a similar position.
