Job Summary:
The Fleet and Inventory Asset Specialist plays a vital role in assisting with the daily operations of the company's fleet and assets, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This individual will help facilitate vehicle maintenance, scheduling, tracking usage, equipment, materials and coordinating logistics to support business operations. This role is Monday-Friday in the
Manassas Office Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assign vehicles to drivers and ensure they have the proper licenses and training. Assign and track equipment to technicians and ensure they have the proper training. Review records to ensure driver and vehicle information is accurate across all systems. Assist with the scheduling, maintenance, and repairs of company vehicles to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Monitor vehicle telemetry data and driver behavior to identify areas for improvement. Assist with and resolve issues related to vehicle breakdowns or accidents. Monitor fleet usage, fuel consumption, and costs, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses. Maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations, inspections, and insurance policies. Work closely with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to ensure timely vehicle servicing and availability. Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards. Investigate and resolve fleet-related issues, including accidents and mechanical failures. Provide reports on fleet performance, utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:
Experience in with inventory management, logistics, or a related role. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inventory tracking Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, project managers, drivers, vendors, and management teams.
