Job Description

Title Experimental Procurement Specialist Schedule Onsite, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Type 24-Month Ongoing Contract, Possible Extension Summary John Deere is seeking an Experimental Procurement Specialist to support the sourcing and procurement of experimental and prototype parts in a fast?paced manufacturing and engineering environment. This role is ideal for a procurement professional with hands?on experience identifying suppliers, requesting and analyzing quotes, and managing purchase orders for non?standard or prototype materials. This is a highly execution?focused, on?site role requiring close collaboration with suppliers and factory teams to ensure accurate tracking, labeling, staging, and inventory management of experimental components. Key Responsibilities Experimental & Prototype Procurement Procure experimental and prototype parts to support engineering and development initiatives Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and sourcing options Request, review, and analyze supplier quotes to support sourcing decisions Issue purchase orders and manage procurement documentation Track order status and communicate progress to internal stakeholders Supplier & Factory Coordination Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment of experimental parts Partner with factory teams to label, store, stage, and organize incoming parts Support coordination between procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams Inventory Tracking & Documentation Track experimental and prototype part inventory Maintain accurate records of sourced materials, orders, and inventory movement Support visibility and traceability of experimental components throughout the lifecycle Required Skills & Experience Top Skillsets Procurement / Purchasing background Quote request and quote analysis experience Supplier identification, sourcing, and selection experience Qualifications 2-3 years of relevant experience required 4-5 years of experience preferred Prior experience supporting experimental, prototype, or non?standard parts procurement strongly preferred Ability to work effectively in an on?site, hands?on environment #LI-JH1 #INDPRO
